Renewable Energy
The Group’s involvement in renewable energy started since 2016 as we see the need to embrace the principles of sustainability and our urgent response towards climate change.
Through strategic investments in renewable energy projects, such as rooftop solar panel system and floating Large-Scale Solar Photovoltaic plants, we are poised to revolutionise Malaysia’s renewable energy landscape and drive positive environmental impact.
TC Sunergy Sdn Bhd, was set up to undertake the operations and maintenance of TCMH’s LSSPV under the 25-year (21 years + a 4-year extension) Power Purchase Agreement under the LSS4 by Energy Commission. The plant is capable to supply 1,043,114 MWh of green energy to Tenaga Nasional Berhad, equivalent to to a reduction of 610,221 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere.
Technical and Vocational Education And Training
Tan Chong Technical Institute (“TCTECH”), the academic arm of Tan Chong Education Services Sdn Bhd, serves as an educational service provider, delivers extensive training programmes in the automotive sector, designed particularly for school leavers. Through TCTECH, the Group aimed to groom youths in technical and vocational education and training (automotive studies) and at the same time, create a talent pool of technically-trained graduates for its subsidiaries.
At TCTECH, our students go through hands-on training with our technical specialists at our industry-simulated workshops at its centres located in Selangor (Petaling Jaya), Pulau Pinang, Kelantan (Kota Bahru) and Sabah (Sandakan).
